Studio Puluma was inspired by a custom workshop we created for the British Museum. And we firmly believe that identity, location, personal values, and culture play an essential role in effective community building and creative facilitation.
Creative needs come in all shapes and sizes, and we want to custom-curate workshop curriculum specifically for you! While we specialize in a few key areas, we firmly believe that the most important aspect of a creative workshop is facilitating opportunities for participants to express themselves and see the world full of untapped tools for inspiration.
our
expertise
While our creative skills expand into all arenas, Studio Puluma has exceptional expertise in the following areas.
Hawaiian Culture
One of our Studio Puluma founders is a Native Hawaiian cultural practitioner and contemporary artist, born and raised on Oʻahu, now living in London. Much of our culturally focused workshops center around aspects of Hawaiian culture, and we are happy to provide something more specific for you! Sustainability/Environmentalism
Much like Hawaiian culture is infused in Studio Puluma, sustainability and environmentalism is a core part of our artistic practice. All our curriculum and materials are created and sourced with sustainability in mind. We always encourage reflection on the importance of nature, ʻāina (land), flora, and fauna in our lives.
Community building
Building community is what Studio Puluma is always trying to provide and inspire. We believe creativity, self-expression, and collaboration go hand-in-hand, that many voices together are always stronger than one. We specialize in facilitating ways to connect with others through a creative lens, whether that be through workshops, art installations, etc. If your organization is looking for a team-building activity or collective art piece, we are here to support you and create an experience perfect for your needs!
